RAPID EYEWEAR ASPEN SUNGLASSES / GOGGLES
Aspen sunglasses are designed for high performance in a range of sporting and leisure activities. Their rubber inserts and vented lenses make Aspen especially suitable for extreme sports such as climbing (and mountaineering), skiing, snowboarding, hang-gliding, paragliding and water sports.


THE FRAMES
Made from ultra-tough TR90, the lightweight frame has rubber nose pads and side arm extensions for comfortable fitting on most sizes and shapes of head. The lens rims are enclosed, to keep out the elements.

Removable rubber side ‘wings’ change Aspen from a regular pair of sunglasses into, effectively, goggles, with the ultimate protection against the elements. Finished in an attractive green / grey matt colour.

THE LENSES
The Aspen design features Rapid Eyewear’s Frostech anti-fog and anti-glare lenses. This Category 3 lens has an anti-fogging capability that is invaluable when using for climbing, winter sports etc.

Superb definition of terrain and objects is achieved through the filtering of blue light. The mirror finish adds an anti-glare capability.

HEAD STRAP
A secure fitting head strap is included as standard, for use in all extreme sport situations.

UV PROTECTION AND CONFORMITY

The Aspen offer 100% UVA / UVB protection and conform to EN 1836 and US Z80.3 standards for safety eyewear.

POUCH
Each pair of Aspen comes with a microfibre carry pouch as standard. The pouch, which has draw-strings, doubles as a lint-free cleaning cloth.

Approximate Measurements: A = 145mm across temples, B = 47mm maximum lens height, C = 120mm to arm ends.

Changing the lens:
You will see a black plastic piece above the nose bridge, this holds the lens in place. Turn this piece vertically and wiggle it out to remove it, then, you can insert a different lens and replace the black piece.

Removing the arms:
Look at the frame where it connects to the arm, you will see a rectangular lug. Squeeze this inwards between your thumb and forefinger. The arms will then easily slide out so that the strap can be inserted. The arms comes out very easily once you get the hang of it, no need for any force.

These goggles comply with the latest European Standard EN 1836:2005 and block 100% UVA and UVB rays meeting ANSI Z80.3 UV General Purpose Protection Standards. Smoke lenses are UV filter category 3 suitable for bright sunlight, driving and general purpose wear. Clear and yellow lenses are UV filter category 0 suitable low light, cloudy/overcast conditions and night riding.
