By METRO SPORT REPORTER – 15th November, 2012 Chicao handed two-match ban for smearing blood on opponent’s face Santa Cruz midfielder Chicao has been banned for two matches for smearing his blood over rival Esley during an ill-tempered match in Brazil.

The incident set off a mass brawl between the two sides – resulting in the pair being sent off, along with fellow players Everton Sena and Ciro Sena.
Esley was later banned for five games for his flailing elbow which kicked-off the whole series of events and added insult to injury after his own goal earlier in the match.
Although it wasn t all bad news for Fortaleza, who recovered after the break to score twice and take all three points – retaining their spot at the top of the league.
